Random Movie Reviews

I've seen a few movies over the past few weeks or so. The main reason I have seen so many movies you ask? Well, there are two: 1. I had over a week off. 2. Anna is now working part-time at Hollywood video, so we get free movies. In fact, we recently "rented" two movies and didn't watch either one... ah, the life of the "privileged".
"Bourne Supremacy": (4 January 04 @ Anson's) - {4 Stars} Saw it with: Anson and Crystal. It took me forever to eventually watch this movie. When it first came out in the theaters I wanted to see it, but I swear at least two times when I was waiting in line to buy tix for it, the people infront/behind me, said that it was awful. So I saw it last night and it was worth it. Good movie, may have been better at the theaters, but I enjoyed it. I think the next Bourne movie should be called: Bourne Again. Imagine the possibilities of that title, he could go away and join a convent and then people come after him again, and he has to become "born again" into a killer. Man, I should sell these ideas.

"SNL: The Best of Chris Farley": (31 December 2004) - {3 1/2 Stars} Saw it with: Anna, Anson, and Sean. This was funnier than I thought it was going to be. I never really liked Chris Farley, all the time, like everyone else. But I was pleasantly surprised by this "best of". Of course, the "outakes" were the best part.

"Ray": (30 December 2004 @ Capitol Theater) - {4 Stars} Saw it with: Anna. It was long (Anna was squirming at towards the end) but still a very good movies. Very impressive acting by Jamie Foxx (and to think, this is the same guy who played "Wanda" in "In Living Color"). Would have been better if they included the last 40 years of his life. Turns out Ray Charles had a HUGE drug problem and went blind at age 7. Great, now I have ruined the movie for you... A entertainer had a drug problem and Ray Charles was blind... Great!

"Spanglish": (28 December 2004 @ Woburn) - {4 Stars} Saw it with: Anna. This was a very enjoyable movie. It wasn't the funny movie I thought it was going to be, but really good either way. After I noticed (about 3/4 of the way through) that it wasn't going to be a funny movie, I suddenly realized it was a chick-flick... then I proceeded to shed a tear. Ah, scratch that last line, that wasn't supposed to make it to press.
More random movie reviews to come, on, well, a random day.
