TiVo: Supply DVR Service to Comcast

Well, one of my three favorite companies (Apple, TiVo, and Google - Anyone know where I can buy a Google bumper sticker) is going to supply DVRs to Comcast. I switched away from Comcast a year ago so that I could get away from digital cable and pay a whole lot less with RCN. Everything has been great, I pay less for a bundle package (Under $100/Cable-HighSpeed Internet-Phone). But the latest news may make me want to switch back, I mean, hey, it's TiVo.

Here is an article that Alex (thanks) sent along to me this morning:

TiVo to Supply DVR Service to Comcast

Tuesday March 15, 9:27 am ET
NEW YORK (Reuters) -

TiVo Inc. on Tuesday said it will supply its digital video recording system to No. 1 cable television operator Comcast Corp. in a deal that will boost TiVo's distribution and could quiet lingering doubts about its growth strategy.
The pact may boost subscribers at TiVo, which has been under scrutiny by Wall Street analysts to prove how it will grow in coming years. The deal came about one week after Comcast set a $1 billion deal to buy television set-top boxes from Motorola Inc. TiVo shares jumped more than 30 percent in pre-opening trade on Inet Tuesday.
