Blue Ray technology is the next step for DVD's not HD-DVD... supposedly Blue-Ray is far superior. So, I guess I will start looking for new DVD players that support Blue-Ray disks. Truth be told, they won't be available for about 5 years, but, why not get an early start on the shopping. By the way, normal DVDs use a red ray technology to transfer data from the disk to the player. Yes, who knew the color of the ray made that much of a difference.
