Friendster: I've re-joined. I once had an account (it actually still exists) but I hadn't checked in 13 months. So I set up a new account because I couldn't remember the old info I used.

I had joined originally because it was new and cool, but, there wasn't much that grabbed my attention. But over the past year, more and more people have been talking about it, so I said... why not?

This is actually a good way to keep in touch with, and find, old friends from high school, college, or even an old neighbor.
