It's coming folks... Google's first IM client. Hopefully we can all get off of AOL Instant Messenger and join Google in the future. The link above goes to a site (AppleXNet) that details how to log onto Google's Talk server now, using iChatAV. Keep looking here for Google Talk to finally debut.
[Update] Here is an article from MSNBC citing a story in the Los Angeles Times about Google Talk, which will reportedly also include voice communications (like iChatAV, without the video).
